Following the hunt on the third morning, Daniel decided to try out a various technique and switch with Dan Adair. We stalked closer and closer right up until the bull sounded like he was on the other side of the brush. In fear of startling the bull they made the decision to wait and see if he would current a shot. We could see the bull heading in direction of the opening but at the final second he turned and headed back in to the brush to push out far more of his cows. Loren then rested his gun on his sticks and took a regular shot we heard the smack of the bullet hitting its target.
As the smoke cleared Loren reloaded his muzzle loader and headed to the spot exactly where the bull had been standing. When we got to the place the bull was we could here crashing and thrashing in the brush above us confirming that Loren had made a very good shot.
